I completely agree.

Well, they might be if they were assured it was a completely neutral waste bin. You don't know. Seems pretty shoddy to go mouching through it after the fact because there were no positives this year. What teams were involved seems unclear.

Or perhaps they've looked into all the others and only Astana's syringes are suspicious. Since the UCI have all but admitted they gave Astana preferential treatment during the race I'm sure Boss Hog felt absolutely confident that they could dump whatever they liked without it getting into the wrong hands.

its not that theyve looked at all syringes and astanas where suspicious.. its that astanas where not dumped into the provided medical waste bins, but normal bins... its got nothing whatsoever to do with the UCI...

to be honest this is just yet another pile of BS coming from one camp or the other.. the french say this, the french say that, astana say this, lance tweets that... who cares...

as someone else has said, my guess is there is nothing wrong, so they are just doing the "ooh astana put syringes in the bin" to set toungues going, testers choose to have a cup of coffee at the astana hotel "ooh astana where tested late"... lance has a shower and the tester signs the paperwork to say all was satisfactory "ooh.. we screwed up the test but lance was deliberately delaying..."

if one side or the other has evidence, then put up or shut up.. if they dont, shut the hell up, cos the only thing getting damanged by lances tweeting, the french press mongering, and the uci's incompetance is CYCLING!

and yes.. i know many people here would see lance out of cycling, see astana out of cycling, but lets face it when lance and astana and the shack or gone, people will just start moaning about rabo, or liqigas, or sky, or brad wiggins, or cavendish.. with astana gone, cycling may be better, but it will still be a long way from perfect..;;

hammer don't be so thick headed. i just provided a practical reading of the code that you seemed to read as a robot. for all practical purposes you did not add much to what i said. team doctors don't do room operations and 'emergency' was and remains the cover word for doping . iv's are and were the main concern. as i quoted velonews, iv needles and bags were found too. cheers.

Python, don't be so thin-skinned. I'm just trying to add a little context to the discussion so we can understand what the French officials might be up to. You wrote that WADA code prohibits the use of any and all IV needles (it doesn't) and that syringes could only be used for medical necessity (their use is permitted for administering any non-prohibited substance with a volume of 50ml or less).

I totally agree that there shouldn't be any valid reason for IV procedures in a hotel room. And you're absolutely right about IV rehydration - that is a punishable 'prohibited method'. If IV equipment is found it raises serious questions. But the articles I read only mentioned syringes being found, which makes me think something else must be up. The question is, what?

This article mentions syringes and IV bags.http://www.velonews.com/article/99199/french-open-tour-investigation

I thought there might be a mainstream media report confirming Astana's involvment other than the French press. Not saying it's not true. Just bemusing only Astana is mentioned, but there you do.

"According to French daily Le Monde, the investigation involves a number of teams including the Astana squad of Tour winner Alberto Contador "

but of course, people around here, and the french press are only interested in talking about astana and johan bruyneelzebub...

Could Lance end up with TdF Title #8? And then go for #9 next year, when everyone else is suspended. Who wants to talk about 10?

Not me, even aside that I'm old and don't look that great naked anymore. I can't get that excited about a different probable doper moving a step up on the podium. Picking them off 1 at a time just isn't going to get the job done in the long run.

Yeah, but the situation earlier there was no mention of Astana on the foreign news outlets and I'm sure one report actually denied it. The BBC? The story has probably moved on now - the fact several French sources confirm Astana seems to confirm it to be true. No worries.

Good to see you back - I was surprised to see you didn't respond to my post where I mentioned CRM - which all within the aviation industry are familiar with.

With you being a retired pilot of 30 years experience I find it sad that you now feel the need to use some of the expressions highlighted above.

Wouldnt your comments be more productive in highlighting the inaccuracies of "revolting, pathetic drivel" that posters spew - instead of making personal attacks?

I tried to find your post because I wondered if you were referring to "Cockpit Resource Management", which is the only thing in aviation I can think of that could be abbreviated that way. I was intrigued as to how that got into this forum, but not enough to go through the 1,150+ posts you have made since June 2009.

I find it pathetic that some people on this forum so hate excellence they believe anyone who achieves it is a cheat. The snide, sarcastic, degrading and often libelous signature lines give some insight into the character of the persons who use them. I make no apologies for my comments which are general and not personal, although if the shoe fits, you are welcome to wear it.

No the shoe does not fit - thank you for asking.

You didnt have to go through my posts - just answer the simple question I had posted,
If you know about CRM then one of its cornerstones is that
CRM fosters a climate or culture where the freedom to respectfully question authority is encouraged.

There are over 7000 registered posters on this site - so I am sure they do not appreciate your GENERAL comments - and when you post the snide, sarcastic, degrading and often libelous signature lines give some insight into the character of the persons who use them. - that statement actually reveals more about your character then theirs.

Wouldn't that be something if they apprehended Lance during the next tour presentation?

I think there are people here that have already been planning a citizens arrest for several years. They're just waiting for their moment.

Are there certain allegations that you do not believe or do you just like calling people that do no believe in the myth names?

Your use of CRM in relation to this forum where the a large number of people do nothing but trash nearly everything and everyone associated with cycling, is bizarre to say the least. There is a considerable difference between "respectfully questioning authority" and character assassination.

I believe any rational person would believe that someone's signature line gives a very good insight into a persons character. This was chosen as a statement that person wanted to make repetitively.
