I think what I want to see is a "fact." There are a lot of accusations out there right now but no facts, yet. We have one man's word, which has not been too good in general, so I'm waiting. Although, my guess is that he is closer to speaking the truth now than he was before, Landis, on the other hand, does not impress me as some one who has done his homework, like retained or recorded something of factual value. Although he is supposed to have a diary, we have yet to see any thing put together from it that would implicate any one, thus far. Others would have a better grip on this as to whether or not all the law enforcement movement means they smell blood or they are just protecting their behinds. My guess is that the cycling world ultimately fall apart like a house of cards, since it will not be able to withstand very much "looking around." Everything depends on everyone turning their heads and the old boys keeping a tight lip, as well as looking like you're doing something to catch cheaters. However, once some one in law enforcement starts looking in earnest, some one, for example, who sees a career move in pinning Armstrong, I would think something would be found. Personally, I would like to think that everyone was clean but I was very suspicious of Armstrong last year when that out of competition test was delayed. There were differences of opinion at the time, but that was the type of situation in which many of the positives were discovered, however, in his case he delayed the test by a good 20 minutes or more, as they supposedly tried to identify the guy while Armstrong took a shower. We will have to wait and see.
