Di canio is a legend one of my heroes... great person(gets a bit carried away sometimes though), he has many admirable qualities and a very good player too..

Barca 2-0 ops... no chance for jose to manage real past this season.. even if he gets lucky and wins the cl he'll leave and if he doesn't then he will be hounded out, which I think he is already... real are a stupid team, such a shame.

Back to 2-2, although I don't live in a Spanish speaking country in Latin America so ESPN aren't showing it here.

I thought madrid were excellent tonight and Barca were really hanging on in the end. This performance will give Real a lot of confidence if they are to meet again in a 2 legged affair later on in the Champions League. Barca did really give up a lot a chances in this game.

Would agree with all that - two big factors for me - Ozil showed what a good player he is and why he should start every game, if fit - and Ronaldo playing for the team, tracking back and defending. Barca got too arrogant at 2-0 up, the last part of the game was squeaky bum time. All credit to Real for coming out and playing - at last! Over the two games I make Barca the deserved winner.

Tottenham want €6.5m form Sevilla for Giovanni dos Santos. Not surprisingly Sevilla refused to pay that amount.

genuises in context of football, there is a difference.

Apparently Ferdinand is spending 30k on personal security and both QPR and Chelsea have consented to having both sets of fans checked at the gates.

well in my opinion things like this aren't that rare here in britain.. It's obviously a bit worrying for him though but I would say he is in no more danger than he is for just being a footballer and I dont think he would be paying money for extra money for security if he wasnt as well paid as he is now... Lennon is always getting death threats and bullets in the post and the worst thing to happen to him was getting beaten up in glasgow and having some weirdo run onto the pitch and slap him on the head... Sadly these are the sort of people who form the majority of football fans..

And now barca are 7 points behind. Hard to see Real losing 7 points but you never know.

No, they lost it tonight. Too many injuries, too many important players had a complete off day. Pity.

But much more important is the strong rumor that Carlos Tevez will finish the season (or some months) on loan at West Ham. It is actually possible.

The thing I love about Brazilian footballers (other than that they come from total poverty), is that many of them appreciate music.

Not - buy 2 million decibel mega soundblasters for your car to splat out some rap crap just because you can.

But stuff like this.

I really think United have a problem with the goalkeeper. De Gea lacks presence and stature for the english game. Lindegaard is decent but not top drawer. I just cannot understand how Ferguson didnt buy Stekelenberg. He has bags of experience at club and international level and at 29 was a snip at 6m euros.

As for Real, Ozil seems to be back to his best judging by his performances in his last 2 games. He took his goal well tonight.

I think Guardiola is getting the balance of the Barca team wrong at the moment. For me Fabregas is playing far too forward almost as a second striker with his back to goal. He is better playing deeper just like his role was at Arsenal. He is better with the play in front of him. He will still get the goals like he has now but his general play will be a lot better. In the 09/10 season he played this role and his all round game was excellent and he still got 19 goals and numerous assists. You cant utilise his excellent passing when he plays too far forward.

I watched the FA cup game today between Newcastle and Brighton which Brighton won 1 nil with an own goal from Williamson. A player to watch out with Brighton is Lewis Dunk. He has been linked with a lot of top Premiership clubs at he moment. He is only 20 but he is an excellent ball playing centre back with a good range of passing. Watch out for his name in the future.

Fabregas can't play deeper because they have other players there. if he wants to be in the team he has to play up top.

Also it seems to me playing the best midfielders up front is a recent trend
Ronaldo started off as a midfielder.Rikardo kaka ronaldinho iniesta plays up front. messi was a wingers. gerrard played up front the season when Liverpool challenged. Julio baprtista was a dm before he became a top strikers. I think Henry started off as a lm

They were talking about reports in the Sunday Times that Mourinho plans to go back to England after this season on ESPN Press Pass and realistically it can only be Man City if they don't win the league, he wouldn't work at Liverppol, the same at Tottenham, and nor would he at Arsenal, not that Wenger is going anywhere anytime soon (plus his Chelsea links would go down well, I'm sure).
