that's the magic of Amstel, you never know if the peloton is really gaining that much or if they have totally screwed the gap timings up

The extension to the circuit did nothing but harm a potentially close battle between the break and the bunch, now it should be the bunch's race comfortably.

Does the fact that Lorena Wiebes is Dutch supersede the shame? Erik Zabel winning was what made them move the finish from Maastricht to the Cauberg, and Wiebes winning here should be the final nail in the coffin of the 2012 circuit.
