I don't expect Sagan to hit the brakes mid sprint to check on Cav, but if you (and you alone) causes someone to crash in a non-critical period of the race, the only decent thing would be to stop and check on the person.

Jungels was very wrong there, but I am not sure what stopping would have accomplished.

It's not his job to stop and check on the person. He has no medical expertise to assess another rider's health or do anything to help him.

No, it is not. But keep living in your own little world where the only visible colors are black and white.

It kinda is. Higuita kept a straight line and there was no one in front of him when he looked back. How should/could he have paid more attention? Riders constantly look back. How can you even race without doing that?

Don't think I have ever seen a moving rider stop to check on a crashed one. Also isn't it illegal to turn round in a race

There is too much motivation behind to chase this, I don't think JV are too happy either, I think they will hang out the front for a while then come back.

I'd like if Jungels was thrown out for it. I don't think it will happen myself but his negligence caused a rider to have to be pulled out so he deserves a proper punishment imo

He was negligent full stop even if Higuita could have continued. In other words, I think the action itself should be ban worthy. Though I don't know what the rule book says.
