The only problem yesterday was a bunch of riders not knowing how to navigate a (reduced) bunch sprint. Skjelmose did nothing wrong.

That's the organizers fault. Philipsen wen't right after coming off MVDP's wheel, but he could at that point, then when he hits the barriers, he left a lane until the inconsistency in the barriers shut that lane. Philipsen deserves the win.

It is the stupid thing about the juries though, if Van Aert had sprinted on and (likely) crashed, Philipsen would have been relegated. The punishment is linked to the consequences, not to the actual "crime".
