Amazingly, being on the front of the race, motos are in front of him. But sure, only Tadej benefits from this phenomenon…I guess ‘cause he’s always out front?
There are motorcycles even at other riders. you see that the motorcycle that is close to Jonas is going behind him. the motorcycle in front of Tadej is not even a TV motorcycle but a photographer. Extra embarrassing. Then you can try to be funny, do you compete on equal terms or not?

I recommend counting the times the guy attacking on the final climb doesn’t have a moto in front. Get back to me.

To be fair, the 2001 stage was somewhat harder, and longer.
Lots of reasons. Those old times occurred before altitude camps and advanced metrics in training. It's a different game these days. Consider how much faster those pros from previous generations would go on a dialed-in, $15k bike.

I know you want me to ask you "why not?", but I'm not going to.

I wasn't. If I wanted to spend time explaining something obvious I would have done it in the first place.

Also instead of your insinuations here, you could go to the clinic.

I think it's the opposite. The more power you put into a stage, the less power you have left to put into the final climb. The longer you go before the final climb, the less power you have left to put into it. Comparable factors.

Yeah, that's what I said. The action started much, much earlier in 2001.
