It seems like mountain stages are getting too easy nowadays with these record breaking ascents.

Race design is my passion, so I propose this stage from Sierra Nevada to Sestriere.
It's only about 95 km, so some sort of starting grid could be a nice addition to really shake things up.

add a 100km of flat after the final climb & you have your average Giro stage,

I admit that I have only watched mostly the Grand Tours this year, but can someone explain what is Derek Gee doing inside the top10 of TDF?
Last winter he fell overboard while on a cruise ship and washed ashore on a remote island where he had to survive on nothing but lichen and grubs for three months.

At least that's the story his sunken cheeks are telling.
