That will leave a hole in Movistar, who've been very quiet in the transfer period, but having already lost Visconti, now losing Ion as well will be a body blow due to his versatility.
Plus I don't like it when cyclists are 'bought' as in this case. It will make the rich teams only stronger.

I haven't seen it, but Id assume he would want to get serious with GT'''s. Thats the only explanation I can find for leaving that team with his brother also on it.

There's nothing nice about this team. It's a random selection of mercenaries. DD is a classical team of FDJ-like proportions by comparison. B-Merida just makes me puke. The sooner this junk folds, the better.

In 2017, they will no longer focus on US crits but instead, they will now be more focusing on one-week international stage racing.
BTW finally they got rid of Brajko. As per hiring Haedo ... why? he is not any better than McCabe and they already have a Henderson for the lead-out
I don't know why but there are always surprisingly many Austrians in Trek. Rohregger, Denifl and Zoidl have all ridden there and next season Brändle and Gogl too.roadbiker said:Gogl (aka Google ©Peter Sagan) from Tinkoff to Trek-Segafredo for two years.

when did Barloworld win 5 Tour stages and wore yellow, won 4 WT races (with Cummings) and many other wins?
they can afford to go pro-conti. they´ll be like Cervelo Test Team, they wont miss almost any wild card

Interesting!
Fenn, Konig, Nordhaug, Roche, Swift and Zandio all leaving with only Doull, Geogheghan Hart and Wisniowski in, leaving a squad of 26.
Elissonde and possibly Rosa are linked. Any others? Seems a bit short this year.

Elissonde's not just a rumour it's confirmed he's signed for Sky, Rosa won't be signing for them so you can forget about that one
A few months ago there was a rumour about Vegard Stake Laengen signing with them, he'd probably a good fit for the Skytrain.b.broadhurst said:MatParker117 said:Lars Nordhaug is leaving Sky, won TdY last year but has disappeared since.

Interesting, he'd have been a pretty good signing. Any Ideas about that other W-team? Probably a team that will give him more chances to ride fo himself, but that's just my guess.laarsland said:Mayomaniac said:A few months ago there was a rumour about Vegard Stake Laengen signing with them, he'd probably a good fit for the Skytrain.b.broadhurst said:MatParker117 said:Lars Nordhaug is leaving Sky, won TdY last year but has disappeared since.

Stakan turned Sky down due to "a more lucrative offer from another WT-team"
