Interesting that they call things a bit under 3 minutes 'A small 3 minutes', that makes a lot more sense now, I've been wondering what the *** the Belgians were doing.

I was also deeply shocked to realise that X Past X means something different in continental Europe than it does in Britain and Ireland as well.

The way he acted after that crash was so interesting. He just stood there calmly. Reminds me of giro 2021 crash when he stood in the middle of the road and got runneth over. Different feeling this time though, he looked so weirdly calm now :O

Good thing for Evenepoel there are almost no descents to put him under pressure this race. Not as good a thing for those of us hoping for GC action.
Evenepoel has actually been a beast on descents this season. There have been various occasions where he has lost time uphill and won time downhill. The Tirreno stage when he lost 4 minutes comes to mind for instance. That said, him crashing on a descent is probably the best chance for anyone to beat him this Vuelta, so I guess you're right anyway.

Edit: Not Giro stage, obviously. Tirreno stage.

UAE gotta be the new Movistar as everything they do makes me believe their main goal is to win the team classification :O

After today or overall? He has been way too bad so far to be a contender even if he would be on the podium after today.
I wouldn't let a guy like Kelderman to sit at top3 after today's stage if you ask me. He tends to improve towards the end of GT and will put Bora in a strong position to make the race harder from now on. Not dangerous to Remco but surely is for the other GC riders

I concur, he's done well in GTs in the past. No need to let him near the top.

I agree he's not to sleep on, but I also would say he generally starts out better and finishes way worse in every GT I've seen him in. (which isn't too many but since 2020)
