The convicts are getting worried. Delicious ;)

Someone ban this c*%T. Period. Man up, head Down Under and call someone a convict you Pommie c$*t. What's that...all I hear is the sound of autologuos blood doping in the UK. Snap.

STFU you ***** and man up. Name a place and time. I expect your weak whining **** to deliver. No excuses. You call my countrymen convicts again, I will beat the nine shades of sh1te out of your chavtastic ****.

Where the F&#$ are the mods to slap these punks down? My bad, they all live in England apart from Susan.

Wait for the third week. Poll has spoken. Cadel is ahead at this date. That means we all know what's coming in third week. No more chavtastic plastic brit sentiment. Froome FTW. Put up or shut up. Nice job Spartacus and Chavanel. Class in the peloton delivering. Time for all the fanboys to reap their just desserts. Three weeks from now you'll all be quiet.

The whole winners/losers things is laughable. Arguably Wiggins is a winner

But there's no real losers with these differences. Maybe F. Schleck and Cobo. But the rest, nah

Samu's a loser. The time he put in today demonstrate's he's not going for GC, or he's not capable of going for GC.

You don't finish 140th is a GC relevant stage when you're a competant TTer if you're in any sort of shape.

What he said is true.

Great Britain needed to find alternative land for a new British colony. Australia was chosen for settlement, and colonisation began in 1788. Rather than resorting to the use of slavery to build the infrastructure for the new colony, convict labour was used as a cheap and economically viable alternative.

I get back from my mates 30th b'day, see the meagre results this site is too paltry to put down and someone is insulting my country. Not just any country, but the most multicultural and accepting country in the world in a day and age where multicultularism is a commodity. ****** that man.

That's cheap and below the belt and so will I be. Check the thread back over ten pages back. PLENTY of guys proclaiming DOPING is running amock in the peloton and alas they do not look at team Sky. They proclaim Wiggins, Wiggins of all people, the guy who couldn't climb in 2006, 2007 and 2008 to save himself, the guy who copied the LA monologue word for word after 2009, is purer than a baby. F*$% off and get back to reality. Where were these mugs from...the UK. You muppets are ruining world sport in 2012. Ruining it. Only Brit sportsman worth their salt is Jensen Button.

Drop the **** and drop the smack talk. Sure the American mods will call it down and so will the Euro ones...the English ones, whom are the predominant ones, won't do squat. Calling the most multidiversial country in the world, with numerous Chinese, Sri Lankan, Cambodian, Laos, Thai, Greek, Spanish, Italian, Serbian, Croatian, Bosnian, Russian, Indian, South African, numerous South American and WAIT FOR IT...UK decsendants is highly racist and insulting. The mug posting that comment is a ***** through and through and no person here would have the gall to say that to a real Aussie face to face. You'd be in hospital. Period. It's the equivalent of someone making a monkey taunt on this forum against a black person. It's denigrating and insulting. Majority, the vast numerical majority of my countries citizens are derived from IMMIGRANTS not CONVICTS and any person who states otherwise is free to dispute it any time in your place of chosing in NSW. They won't. Least of all if they live in LONDON.

Man you are taking it too seriously. It's a cycling forum, let's discuss the biggest event of our beloved sport. I guess he likes Wiggins, and wants him to win, so he dislikes Evans and hopes that he performs badly. I know that most of the times, when I root for someone I call his opponents various names. It's all part of the game. After the race/game is finished everyone shake hands.

Oh dear, massive sense of humour fail.

By the way, what does Pommie even mean. Is it supposed to be offensive?

Learn history please. It will save me having to educate you over the next three weeks. Port Arthur. Tasmania. Convicts wrote famously on the walls of their cells"POME" meaning 'Prisoner of Mother England.' See you once again learn something. Tell you what, I ever head to the UK, I will give you a heads up and you and ever one of your friends can give me a welcoming. For real. You'll ironically embrace me with open arms because I look just like the average Brit.

Port Arthur is arguably the most famous penal colony in Australia. It's where the great UK shipped all those thieves who stole loafs of bread to eat so as not to die were sent upon being captured for the heinous crime of theft in the 1800s. You know, when colonialism was grand? Oh I forgot, you never passed history...my bad once again. I have to forgive your misunderstandings. Given you are so deft of historic meaning and relevance, most particularly in this thread and its context, it is not surprising you do not know this. Froome BTW will probably beat Wiggins. Does it not conflict with your modus operandi to not follow your namesake? Particularly when one rider falls...physics dude. Remember 2011?

Common knowledge for any secondary high school student in Australia with an IQ in the triple figures is the relevancy of POME and it's modern equivalent 'pommie.' And before some senile imbicile thinks they can slap me in place, did I not state my nation is the most multicultural, the most accepting of cultural diversity, that we don't give a damn where you are born, only what you believe? You wouldn't know, because you're not Australian. Can't say the same for the UK. You know with the immigration policy and all...it's not exactly exact on what constitutes a UK citizen is it? Oh snap once again! The parallels. I simply ask that people not be one sided. And yes, I am Austalian, and yes, physically, I'd happily wager you pick a fight with me, it would not end up with a Cadel Evans...'Don't touch me moment," on another Aussie who touched his shoulder, aka, Mike Tomolaris...you'd be on the ground. Again, review 20th Century History. We hit hard and we ask questions later.

Oh and Froome 19...Who came second in the prologue? If it were FIFA rules would it not be a BELGIAN! My bad... Don't forget your namesake Mr Plastic Fantastic.

So if you are populated by prisoners of mother England, why do you call us it?

I'm afraid your second paragraph is incoherant.

Ok. Fair enough. How many Russians do you know? I know many people who have Russian surnames and lineage in Australia. I've lived with these people. They are as Australian as I am. Did they deserve some schmuck arrogant English upper class wannabe besmirching them with a derogative term?

No, they didn't and NO you wouldn't know that given you live in Europe. But the English admins and mods DO KNOW and THEY ALONE know this. Not the Euro ones, not the Americans, the Brits. This thread and every Pro Sky sentiment thread has this. It is racist and derogative and yes being Enlgish, they'd never, ever say this to my face. Because being of the nationality I assume you to be, you'd put said people disrespecting your country in their place.

The bulk majority of Australians are not convicts, even though a huge portion of our country are hard working immigrants. Many people draw their ancestal from Russia, like Dennis Menchov. People who were embraced by the existing predominantly British people here, from the same ANCESTRAL POOL as the upstart talking smack. People I have lived with and call my friends. Blood wise, the only thing not making me European is my accent. The only thing. Guys like him dude...they are the scum people have faught wars against. People who divide and do not believe in the legitimacy for every person to exist. Calling an Englishmen, a POM, is slang. Calling an Australian, as a convict is to derive them down to the lowest "CASTE" the lowest denominator for which their is no numerical statistic to base the majority as derived from. And no, it's not just those originally from the UK, it's all nations who followed after. Nations like those I listed. That's why the typical Aussie you meet will be mellow, not give a flying f*%$ and is the type of person you can party with and have a blast. They literally don't care about your skin, your race and your ancestry, as long as you are alright.

So does it make sense now, what that guy did? He sledged, aka, he knocked, 22 million people living in my country who did not HAVE a SAY in their lineage, their origins. It's not like they were asked to be born. It is akin to racism. He deserved to be called out as a ******bag. Call people anything else other than that. Or as I stated...say it to my face and see whether you say it ever again? Oh and for anyone thinking I'd rather not be talking about cycling...dream on. I have been berated for ages about my 'walls of text' about the details of cycling I chose to comment on.

Great job Spartacus and great job everyone who did well. Even Wiggins. Heck, it's not like I put the man on my CQ team is it? Wished I'd have picked Chavanel, Gilbert and TJVG...I had the points.

Denis Menchov is really in for this one. Wiggo and Evans better watch out. And unlike Wiggo, here is a guy who actually knows how to win a GT.

yeah, and everyone, especially Wiggins and Sky have been brainwashed for the last 3 months that there is no one besides Evans who has the skills to match Wiggins here.

It's not like this hasn't been brought up. But you are one of the best contributors on the forum. You already know this.

Take the sudden turn in the voting on this thread and contrast with the Dauphine. Anti-Menchov was the flavour for a many a contributor. I and those I consider to be the more reasonable, always rated him.

Not like Dennis wasn't going to shut them up. Wait till the final time trial. Dennis if in 2010 form will be the best GC rider in the last chrono. A tall ask perhaps, but the man has delivered mutliple times. Even when he fell off in 2009 in Milan...take the fall out, he'd have topped the final chrono sheet. Perhaps even superior to Evans TdF 2011 form and even above everyone else this year. Absolute podium chance this year.

Big fail on the part of the cycling pundits, of course. You look at this course, and you think: wow, that's pretty suited to Menchov.

Unfortunately, the memory of sports journalists only goes back a few months. He has indeed been out of the picture for a while.

The thing is, if he has his 2010 form again, he might also be the best climber. Two years ago only Andy, Contador and Sanchez were better. Only Evans will probably be able to match Menchov then,m but he'll have a worse time trial.

But a prologue normally isn't the best indication of good form, so the next two weeks will tell if Denis's up for it.

In fact, almost NO ONE spoke about him. Almost NO ONE.

And most of those who did, claimed he was too old, wasn´t classy enough, or whatever.
