Seems semi *** to say he wasn't aware of the importance of weight. Thats probably up there with some of the most hilarious *** I've heard in cycling (it takes a lot)
Not surprised he loves Valverde, everyone does. ;)

Let's see what happens tomorrow. Will the bubble burst?

No need to wait for tomorrow, he already today lost 26 seconds on a stage where fricking Patrick Bevin could follow and get a top 10.

Disappointing. Not horrible at all, but I thought he was already a little further in his form-building. Should go in a breakaway in stage 6, 7 or 8 if he has the legs and then build towards the Vuelta.

Obliterating the Climb day in the Hammer Series was obviously not a sight of things getting 2013 again.

Didn't hold Eiking's wheel in the earlier part of the climb.
Yeah, who would have known Hammer Series is a bit different...

Will be very surprised if he doesn't show better form on the next few stages..

Looks like "frickin" Patrick Bevin is better than Betancur, actually.

IMHO not enough to get into the TdF squad. And there is only one of Poland, Burgos, Benelux and l'Ain he could do, as I don't think Movistar will send him to ride on two consecutive weeks with only one week of rest before the Vuelta.

Nope, but nevertheless a very good performance IMO. Not enough though, hasn't been that good. Lots of small stage races he could do very well in leading up to the Vuelta.

Lots of small stage races, but Movistar calendar only lists those four stacked in two consecutive weeks. Apart from that, there's only the three 1-day races in the Basque Country: Ordizia, San Sebastián and Getxo.
