what happened in that crash then ? looked like the rider in front looked behind, was unclipped and stuck his leg out,...rider next to him swerved and Froome then went down.

If thats what happened - and i replayed it a few times...looked like it was done to bring him down.

This is the best Clinic theory yet!

cycle chic never fails to deliver the conspiracy theories, but I would have liked it better if it was Froome that crashed himself on purpose.

its an observation not conspiracy.

No, but you are claiming malice.

looked like it was done to bring him down

There was more than one rider involved in the chain which brought down Froome. Therefore to be malice it had to be a conspiracy.

Clearly that's ridiculous and not what you're claiming. But you can't be claiming it was just one rider, the guy who clipped Froome was pushed over by the guy on his left. Maybe the guy on his left did it for no reason (unlikely) or he moved because of what happened in front of him. But there were at a minimum two riders involved in front of Froome. I saw up to 4 in the chain.

the rider behind the Astana rider - leg unclipped - nudged the rider, with his right leg - to his right.....that rider then brought down Froome. It may have been Orica.

Both riders rode on talking to one another...pretty sure it was Orica

The rider may have lost his balance - unclipped and swayed to his right.

Yep luckily i kept the recording from today - the rider definitely had his leg unclipped and nudged the rider.

Eurosport repeat the whole stage at 2.30am.

What is the significance of the unclipped leg and do you still think it was somehow done intentionally? I'm just not seeing it.

Crashes like this happen daily in the Tour. I see no reason to assign malice here.

I watched the Armstrong documentary 'Stop at Nothing' the other night on UK tv. There was clips of Hincapie, Hamilton and Andreu shirtless in the Tour I think it was 99 or maybe 2000. Hamilton/Hincapie in particular had very very low bf%, sometimes posters on here think that the low bf% is a new thing. Hincapie looked like a head on a stick and Hamilton had no arm musculature at all. Andreu was extremely lean too.

What, you mean this fatty?

That's almost enough to make Rasmussen blush.

Froome actually looks to have more BF% than Tyler and Michael there. Those veins though
Froome's forearms look strangely plastic-y, but he does appear to have more meat on his chest.

Strange sport.

I'm thinking that the Dawg was lookin' at his stem while daydreaming about the good old days when he used to zig zag up the climbs, started to subconsciously re-live those moments and - boom!

Marginal gains theory: only zig zag when clear of the peleton. Or make sur you have your pillow under your a$$ when you do.

It's the curse of David Walsh. As soon as he starts praising a Sky rider they fail. Wiggins last year and now the Dawg.

Have to agree. The other two look like they've just been released from a Japanese WWII concentration camp.

Thanks. Whatever was going on between those two had nothing to do with Froome. The guy on the right had his face in the other guy's back and the guy pushed him off.

Yes, that's what I saw as well.

ok i replayed it again and it was the FDJ rider who may have nudged the Orica rider - Orica rider then unclipped his foot to gain balance.

I was wrong...a woman can always apologise and admit her mistake :)

It's not a clinic conspiracy it's a cycle chic conspiracy. That poster has done little besides offer bizarre and illogical conspiracy theories since they joined. Though I still don't believe any is quite as wacky as the one that says sky have been riding clean last 3 years, found by total fluke the 3 greatest athletes who will ever be born and proceeded to lie and deceive as much as possible on every single tiny issue, purely by accident.

OK, so did anyone see why Froome crashed this morning? And why he was riding towards the back of the peleton? Why would he be anywhere near the back, unless he'd been to visit a car or on a break?
