ha ha!

Im thinking Sastra has this

I don't think he's recovered from the injuries. In fact, I doubt he will in time to be high up on GC at the end of this Giro

Yes, but they won't want to allow the gap to be too large. The strength for Basso and Nibs now is that they can watch and follow Vino/Evans/Cunego etc because they have riders ahead. But at the same time they can't give Sastre and Arroyo too much time.

Excactly. I'm just defending the fact that Liquigas didn't work earlier - there was no need to. Now they have two guys perfectly placed in GC, and can place two others not too far behind.

Scene: Hotel Room, early morning, before stage starts. Basso, Evans, Vinokourov, Cunego, all sitting on chairs around a table pilled high with bags of marijuana, passing around a bong.

Vino: Dudes, I have crazy idea: we not ride hard today, throw race away. Fuk with organizers heads, big time.

Evans (coughing): Mate, that would be awesome!

Cunego: whoa--like, just like totally coast today? I am so up for it.

Basso: (giggles).

I was just reading through these comments before tuning into the streaming coverage. Is there any point in watching now, or would I be totally lost? Maybe I'll wait and read the report.

who else then?

God only knows.

Tondo must surely have a chance. Maybe Voeckler.

But it's a crapshoot after a stage like this. It's whoever managed to save the most energy.

tondo though he may die out and sastre will win.

I don't think Sastre in his current form can take 6 minutes off Kiserlovski defended by Nibali, Basso and Szmyd.

You will get to see the most exciting part now. It has been just 2 peletons riding so far.

Of course there is. The break group still has to contest the stage, which should be interesting with an uphill finish. And how much time will they gain on the Vino group?

A lot of interest remains
