I hate that kind of forced yes we care society thing. Really gets unto my nerves. Yes I care, but I probably won't show it the way you wanna see me show it so you can shed a tear again, just sod off.

End of rant. Was not to you but to the pundits ;)

the belgian press has shown in recent days how f'n pathetic they are.

Fantastic stage today. That's what makes the Giro a great race.

Shame the main contenders didn't attack. However, I think that's to do with the crazy hardness of the race. If you take out a few of the mental hard days and a couple of mountain top finishes then stages like today would have exploded.

Anyway

Time to dig up the "weakest giro-line up" topic again.
And laugh at some random people :)

Pink, white and a stage-win at the moment.

There must have been three Andronis (or one close behind) as they didn't lose much on the Teams Class.

I'm surprised no one pulled the trigger on the climb, I think Scarponi just went because he realised no one else was doing anything. Everyone already tired + saving themselves.

vicioso came down on 2 minutes. was one more guy in between. I think rujano. let's hope

I don't think we're quite done laughing at your about-face on Weening yet.

Anton came in alone losing 50 seconds on Weening, took it easy for the last 500m, as he was in the main group at the 600m mark.

Who'd have thought Weening would hold on when he started pedalling squares up the final climb?
He always looks like that, on his monster gear. I don't know how he does it, but it works for him, apparently.

Chapeau weening and rabo.

I dunno how you dutch boys can climb hills like that... While i was riding in the flat lands in only 3 months I completely lost all my mountain legs.

Gazzetta stage results out him 20th at 8 seconds

Did Gatto hand his bike over to anyone?
I mean - what the **** would he be doing in 5th place in such a stage?

The fact that Weening won indcates that it wasn't a stage for the pure climbers. Anyway, as I understand it, Gatto's an allrounder with a finish, similar to Visconti. It's not that surprising.

Results says that was Isasi. Anton was in the front group.

He always had a good finish, but a couple of years back he was quite a bit worse on the hills.
