It is puzzling that he would arrive in the US, sequester himself, then leave for the Giro.

This raises a rather hilarious spectactle: Perhaps Johan agreed to talk to the Feds a couple days before ATOC started in order to make everyone's heads explode. Just a convenient scheduling snafu.

Especially considering that Team RSNT itself announced he'd be joining the team at the AToC for stage 2 (which never happened).

Yes, in fact I was just thinking that it's possible that he may have known what was coming and since he's been ducking, tiptoeing around, and putting on fake sunglasses with a large plastic nose and mustache, to hide from being recognized (Polish, Mark & Co., that's a joke okay! ) there would just come a time when he couldn't keep doing that anymore. Just pure speculation though.

Who said that it was leaked? It's not possible for a cycling fan (with friends at VeloNation) to be in the airport at the same time? I've been on the same plane with pro cyclists (en-route to events) while on biz trips. Airports are the great equaliziers.

Think about it, it would make sense to stay at AToC, as he could watch a live feed of the Giro and then just deliver verbal beat-downs over a cell phone. AToc has a no-radio rule, so he can't do it remorely as effectively.
