Let me guess and since that day no other rider you cheer for won a race?

I was answering to Peyroteo94 who said who defends Ayuso is a Pog hater. I'm not. I was very happy seeing him win the 2020 TDF. many many riders I cheer for won races since that day. Jorgenson won 2 Paris-Nice, Pog won 2 Flanders, Yates won the Giro, Bernal won the Giro, Townsend won Hamburg, Pidcock won Amstel, Mohoric won Sanremo and Tour stages, Hindley won the Giro, Van Baarle Roubaix, Kwiato Amstel, Thomas won Romandie and Suisse, Porte won Dauphiné etc.
I wished Vingo won the Tour and I hope he does one day. I like Visma since 2024 when they signed Jorgenson and Vingo came back from that huge crash

I said who defends Ayuso, RIGHT NOW, is a Pog hater.
And by defending, I mean people who think Ayuso is right. You don't think that though.

Would be funny if based on his new comments they hold him to his contract and make him race minor .1 and .HC races until the end of 2028 out of spite. 😂

Control him how? All they can really do is terminate his contract - which is what they've done
He's with UAE since 2021. They (should) know him well enough to know how to manage/motivate him. He came to the Vuelta, knowing he was leaving the team. If UAE doesn't know how to handle one of their athletes, who's been with them for 4 years, then they are incompetent.

At what age did he extend his contract with UAE? Since people are holding him to it.

If the team can't control him, then it's the teams fault.
This is wild to me, sorry.

He could have been thankful for the exit and worked for the team on his way out to "prove all the haters" wrong and increase his market value. That's the smart thing to do.

I hope he has already inked a deal.

"If the team can't control him then it's the team's fault, Ayuso did nothing wrong" is some crazy talk, even Ryu didn't go that far for Betancur
I never said he did nothing wrong, but he clearly thinks that. And this fact, I blame on the team. He's been with UAE long enough to know his role and what it means to work with others.

Of course he can do whatever he likes, he is the one on the bike, but everyone is watching. Not only his team, but other teams and riders as well. I'm sure word goes around inside the peloton. This will for sure be like the AG2R-Betancur thing. The future will tell us who was right.

We know who is right. This doesn't change the fact UAE played this poorly.

And taking off his jersey in the celebration (to not show the sponsor). Gold moment, make it real Ayuso!
There are more subtle ways of doing that, as Arensman showed in Sierra Nevada '22

If he didn't want it to be known, why did he leak the news of his departure to his closest journalist weeks ago?
This guy just keeps contradicting himself.

What a complicated guy. Patience to his new teammates at LIDL.
