King Albert is back! Probably has not quite matched the expectations after 2023 so far, but not for a lack of legs. In Paris-Roubaix he crashed at Carrefour de ’larbre but managed to catch up with the leading group and probably would have won if his chasers had not taken a shortcut in the vélodrome. At E3 Saxo Classic recently he went solo on the Paterberg and distanced the chasers by a minute, then he punctured, was caught and messed up the sprint (that’s his own words anyway). Seems like luck is finally on his side again!

Edit: forgot to add some context. Philipsen just won the tt of the Peace Race and took the leader’s jersey.
