Hello, the party of the thread has returned, on a different name due to a forgotten password. Although this was from a good ten days ago, I'd still like to dedicate a post to it. Because while one Dane was bleeding minutes throughout the Tour de France, another one was winning it, albeit the junior version. Before the race I was quite intrigued to see how Albert Withen Philipsen and Ashlin Barry would fare on this terrain compared to the featherweights, but the latter (and his entire team) caught covid and were forced to abandon the following days.
The former, however, remains off the charts. Truth be told, this wasn't the hardest route they had ever drawn up in Valromey, but I did not expect AWP to compete, let alone drop the likes of Seixas, Pericas and Finn basically every day. Not to mention his team was crap and his two best teammates (Magnus Åhman and specifically Hugo Rishøj) abandoned the race the day before the queen stage. As expected, Seixas attacked an basically every vertical meter and AWP hardly broke a sweat. He is still miles and miles ahead of the rest in pure power. He is now 2/2 on big stage races this year. I guess the only thing left to do is to become 3x world champion in one season.
p.s. Some pro team needs to sign Pavel Sumpik, now.
