Judging from your calls for Indurain to be exposed as a doper, I would've thought you'd be happy to see Armstrong busted. I guess we're not the hypocrites around here.Exroadman24902 said:and the clinic will be sad

Except that the GJ and the investigation is about potential criminal activity, not whether or not Armstrong was doping. If even a fraction of what we've heard is true, it's gone way beyond the simple question of whether some bike racers were doping.Exroadman24902 said:No I want the grand jury shut down without indictments. I want Indurain's palmares left alone too.

No - because then USADA (who have been sitting in with the FED's) would start their investigations in to him.Exroadman24902 said:fair enough. If we don't hear from Jeff Novitsky by October, November, then it is likely over, no?

November is a long time away and I think we will be hearing from Mr. Novitzky long before then.

The criminal aspect would be, perhaps, but I don't think the doping question is going to go away so easily, especially as I doubt we're finished with the revelations from various sources of what went on at USPS. We've heard that as many as a dozen USPS riders have testified before the GJ - what happens when all of that testimony is leaked, as it inevitably will be, or otherwise goes public? Which is all to say, this ain't just going to disappear.Exroadman24902 said:fair enough. If we don't hear from Jeff Novitsky by October, November, then it is likely over, no?

But in any case, do you really think the investigation would still be ongoing if they weren't finding anything? I think if that were the case, Novitzky would've wrapped it up a long time ago, as his reputation is very much on the line here as well.
I just don't see anyway that Armstrong comes out of this unsullied. I think the more relevant question is to what extent the damage is going to be.
Exroadman24902 said:I agree. Is the investigation still on going? One substantial hurdle to it is The Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure which "prescribe that a grand jury must have from sixteen to twenty-three members and that an indictment may issue only if at least 12 jurors concur.[18]

Oh raceradio, tell us what you see in your crystal ball.

edit: by drop I mean deliver, drop in your lap - not dropping the charges!

However, if the person with the last laugh laughs best, Floyd is having a pretty good laugh right now. And, it isn't clear that Lance is going to have anything to laugh about for a looooong time.
Dave.
