Quick Step are going to do a three up break with Boonen, Chavanel, and Terpstra just like the old days of Mapei with Museeuw, Tafi & Bontempi and Boonen will cruise across the line first.

Nice!

Would love that, just to see them three tearing the bunch apart picking up some leftovers of the early attack just like Museew and the others did in the Mapei days, one acceleration and woops where's the rest of the bunch...

He could be one to watch. He is powerful, lasts long races, can ride cobbles, has a good sprint and can time trial well.

Obviously he is unproven and has a long way to go to match riders like Pozzato and Boonen, but he would be my outside bet for a Top 5.

As mentioned, Leukemans is experiencing knee problems this week. Recovering from injuries, even small ones, asks something from your body. And for him to ride a top 10 in PR, I think he need a pretty good shape. Thus I took him out of my list.

Sorry to those whom asked what it was based on, didn't get back to this thread earlier.

last week his heel was hurting, this week it's his knee...maybe it's true, maybe it's not. Last year Vansummeren missed the Ronde with a knee injury, one week later he won Paris-Roubaix. Obscuring the strenghts is part of the game.

As if I'm going to waste a perfectly fine poll option on Lars Boom. Come back when he's not sick anymore.

Really? That's news to me.

Final call:

1. Boonen
2. Ballan
3. Chavanel
4. Flecha
5. Van Avermaet

Hopefully, the racing won't be too negative with everyone waiting then sucking Boonen's wheel. I'm reminded of Cancellara's race from last year. That guy had a tail on him the whole race.

Safe ride for all participants!
