It's the matter of perception and prestigiousness. For instance, I think getting top-5 even in the Vuelta is much harder than winning Lombardy, PR or even PR+TF.

I believe, such maximalism helps you in your life.

What do you mean by harder? Do you mean the gc riders are better trained than the classic guys?

Troll, alert.

Always knew you were just a July fan though.

What a coincidence that you don't include the only Monument Abandony Schleck ever won.

Airstream is right

I always knew that Paco Mancebo and Peter Velits were superior cyclists than Boonen, Bettini, and Freire (among others).

Landis said Pereiro was a doper in the 2006 Tour in the interview with Paul Kimmage and said Pereiro told him he did a blood transfusion.

Landis: Pereiro's criticism hurt, because he also doped in 2006 Tour

I do trust Landis on this, but Schleck has his brother and Cadel has his manegerial staff (Landis's managerial staff to be precise+ that guy who got caught before the tour).

Neither of them has actually been caught

And while I agree that maybe if you were to rank those in order of suspicion, maybe Perreiro would rank slightly higher than Cadel and Andy but I don't think they are far enough apart for someone to draw a clean line and say they know that Schleck and Cadel are clean and that they know Perreiro isnt.

Well hes better than J rod. Better gt rider better stage race rider, better one day rider better tter.

Not as good at short sharp climbs or at keeping a level for a long period, but overall he is the better cyclist.

LOL!!! Same thing can be said of Cavendish. No last-300m sprinter should be in anybody's list. Period!

I will actually second this (and before someone calls me a Samu fanboy, you can look at my avatar).

I would maybe say they're about equal in one-day races, however Samu does have an Olympic gold and that counts for a lot to me

Yeah samu is more all rounded but I think Jrod gets better results than samu. I think jrod is a slightly better rider than samu. Remember jrod even won the uci worldtour in 2010.

Candy Schleck.

Or Andy baby if you want.

Schlecklet. Andy Pandy. Abandony. (thanks kittycat Sirius!)

I was thinking of a way to merge words "Whiner" and "Andy", but all I'm really getting out of it is "Wendy". I think I might actually call him that for a while

yea, i like gts way more and value gt riders higher, i watch all the races though. classics just doesn't excite me too much. if we had chosen the best rider of 21th century I would ve voted for Carlos Sastre.
