France

Road race :

Julian Alaphilippe (Etixx-Quickstep)
Nacer Bouhanni (Cofidis)
Mickaël Delage (FDJ)
Arnaud Démare (FDJ)
Tony Gallopin (Lotto Soudal)
Cyril Lemoine (Cofidis)
Sébastien Minard (Ag2r-La Mondiale)
Julien Simon (Cofidis)
Florian Vachon (Bretagne-Séché Environnement)

TT :

Jérôme Coppel (IAM Cycling)
Romain Sicard (Europcar)

No Chavanel?

And Sicard for the tt? I know he did well in the Vuelta and is in good shape but surely they could find better tt'ers? Le Bon, Rossetto? Or Chava of course

Chavanel will be riding the pursuit at the French track NC's instead of going to Richmond.

Rossetto had to abandon the Vuelta after his crash and Sicard beat Le Bon comfortably in the French nationals.

So why exactly is Belgium not taking Wellens to Richmond?
Because he didn't want to (focus on Lombardia).

He's a young rider, participation in the Worlds is a big honor , he shouldn't refuse that. And by the way I think Lombardia this year is too hard for him

Looks like a bit of mish-mash of a team; can't see them working well together at all. And where is Gougeard? He's put in a stronger and more impressive ride in the last week, than most of those guys have done in their career. ;)

Belgian team:
Tiesj Benoot Lotto-Soudal
Tom Boonen Etixx-Quick Step
Philippe Gilbert BMC
Iljo Keisse Etixx-Quick Step
Jens Keukeleire Orica
Nikolas Maes Etixx-Quick Step
Greg Van Avermaet BMC
Stijn Vandenbergh Etixx-Quick Step
Sep Vanmarcke Lotto-Jumbo
4 reserves:
Jens Debusschere Lotto-Soudal
Yves Lampaert Etixx-Quick Step
Jürgen Roelandts Lotto-Soudal
Tosh Van der Sande Lotto-Soudal

No idea what Maes is doing there over Roelandts or Debusschere (or even Tosh who has clearly been better in la Vuelta).

I would also replace Iljo Keisse and
Jens Keukeleire with Roelandts and Lampaert....I don't understand this selection.

4 Etixx to 1 Lotto especially incredible

Isn't Bomans a big fan of the Vuelta prep before the Worlds? Maybe that has something to do with it.

Fuglsang won't go to the worlds and has given his place to Guldhammer. He didn't feel like the route suited him very well and would rather give the chance to a rider who is very well suited for the route and is in really good shape. Very good and humble decision IMO, it's a mystery that Guldhammer wasn't selected in the first place.

G posted on his official facebook, that he isn't going to the worlds.

Edit:

Fenn to replace?

Fenn is already in the team. No replacement has yet been named. I would personally go for Blythe.

He hasn't raced since Eneco I believe, might have relevance.

Owain Doull? He's clearly got some form.

Doull is doing U23 I think, the Yates boys should both get an invite (if Cav is out as well)

Haven't a clue who will lead team GB

Cav and G. I suspect the former will be nowhere to be seen when the real thing starts.

edit: Oh, just read Thomas isn't racing.
And Cav is struggling

If Cav isn't 100% then GB should just call up the twins and get them to try and go with late attacks if the race splits up, I don't rate Cav's chances anyway.
