I had not considered that possibility - Lance visiting Switzerland to confirm his acceptance in the super-charged brigade via the greasing of palms.

We also know Hein had a stock trading account with the owner of USA Cycling, Thom Wiesel. So, palms can be greased without tripping too many international money transfer warnings, trips and such. Don't be surprised to discover Hein has banking/financial activity in Britain. IMHO, the deal was most likely Thom and Hein as the brains behind the myth.

I was more kinda thinking (hoping?) it was something more ground-breaking and focused via special chemistry. Although why he needed to go to Switzerland to get it, and how it lasted the duration of the Tour clearly doesn't fit with any drug duration I am aware of.

Although now that I think about it, maybe it was Tyler's small jab at the UCI?

What we know is peptide doping has advanced the state of the art. They don't get the ridiculous feats of strength, speed, and recovery of EPO/HGH, but much better than a rider on 'pan y agua.'

We also know the UCI just didn't act on 2009/10 Armstrong red-hot positives.

How they got 3+ weeks of ridiculous power at any given time is an open question. If there's a test for whatever it is that gifted Sky that power, I'm sure the test was either not run, or simply not acted upon.

Peaking for an event used to be 4 parts magic, 1 part science. These days it seems some riders can guarantee performances. This troubles me. They should write a book on how to guarantee form, or someone needs to explain to me how it's done.

David Millar ‏@millarmind 15 May

Who'd a thunk it? All we had to do was ask @ramunas88 to win. @ryder_hesjedal was legendary, first to get bottles and help cover attacks.

Wiggins showed decent shape before Giro he got sik during it and he suffered a lot with it, it's not normal to see him losing a wheel on the flat even if he was in bad bad shape which he clearly wasn't, anyone who thinks this is all made up is a big ***

It is normal when someone mentally loses it and decides he would rather be somewhere else where the weather is better.

Wiggums may have come down with the dreaded paneagua syndrome after riders started testing positive for GW01516

This is it for those that haven't seen it, was in Walsh's article in ST I believe.

Wiggins: last 15km average output 477 watts. 20mins. On top of a tough previous 50mins. 69kg weight.

Sky are smart. They softpedal in the mountains to avoid beating times of obvious dopers.

Then they go full *** with Armstrong esque power in the ITTs.

So that was for last 20 minutes? What was the gradient/elevation gain in that period?

The numbers come from Wiggums himself.

The gradient is irrelevant.

Given a twenty minute figure, a one hour figure can be calculated using standard tables, i.e. 20 minute effort can be ridden at X% of FTP.

Someone should give Prince a call. It's 1999 again.

Ok, fair enough. I did not realise they were from Wiggins' power crank.
