Cav and G. I suspect the former will be nowhere to be seen when the real thing starts.
edit: Oh, just read Thomas isn't racing.
If Cav isn't 100% then GB should just call up the twins and get them to try and go with late attacks if the race splits up, I don't rate Cav's chances anyway.
That should have been Plan A. Pinning their hopes on a Cav train with a tired Thomas as their backup was stupid.Pricey_sky said:rick james said:And Cav is strugglingBigMac said:rick james said:Haven't a clue who will lead team GB

We don't know yet, they weren't in the initial team but Thomas is out and Cav is reportedly not too good after his crash.BigMac said:I'm confused, will they ride?

Tony Martin doesn't need a birthplace. He is Tony Martin.

Moreno Moser for the TT??? At Vuelta TT 121st, at Tour de Pologne TT 109th (with 113 starters), at Tour de Suisse TT 111th (with 120 starters), is the worst choice possible for Italy, a challenger for the last position. It's true they have only Malori that could compete with the best time trialists but with someone like Quinziato, Bennati, Boaro, Oss or Fellinme almost a place between 7/8 and 15 it's possible.SafeBet said:Italy's long list for the RR:

Vincenzo Nibali (Astana)
Giacomo Nizzolo (Trek)

Salvatore Puccio (Team Sky)
Manuel Quinziato(BMC)
Kristian Sbaragli (MTN-Qhubeka)
Matteo Trentin (Etixx-Quickstep)
Diego Ulissi (Lampre-Merida)
Elia Viviani (Team Sky)
ITT: Adriano Malori, Moreno Moser.

If this is true:
"A quick descent, followed by three hard turns leads to a 100-meter-long climb up 23rd Street. Once atop this steep cobbled hill, riders descend into Shockoe Bottom. This leads them to the final 300-meter-long climb up Governor Street. At the top, riders face a 680-meter false flat to the finish."
Based on that profile it's about a 12-13% climb. Looking at the route I can't tell if they have to turn into it or they'll hit it at full speed. Anyone know?
2nd at the NC, that's the reason.Nirvana said:Moreno Moser for the TT??? A short video of Cassani talking about the circuit, even if you don't understand Italian it's interesting because you can see all the climbs and the whole circuit.King Boonen said:Someone wanted the profile up thread, see if this works:
